The work to be performed is as follows: The work, to be performed under these specifications consists of furnishing all Labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for construction of the Orchard Ave Water Allam Replacement Project. Generally, the project includes the construction of+-2,630 lineal feet of new 8-inch DI water main and +-250 lineal feet of new 6-inch DI water main with associated valves, fittings, fire hydrants, air and vacuum release valves, and water services. It also includes traffic control, trench repair, and associated project restoration as shown on the Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. Results will be tabulated and recorded by City staff with the Mayor witnessing and will be posted and emailed to all bidders by 5:00 pin on Tuesday, March 11th. If a surety bond is used, said bond shall be issued by a surety authorized and registered to issue said bonds in the State of Washington. The bond shall specify the surety's name, address, contact and phone number, and shall include a power of attorney appointing the signatory of the bond as the person authorized to execute it. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into the Contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the Information for Bidders, the bid deposit sha 11 be forfeited to the City of Gold Bar. Subject to the foregoing, the bid may be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. When awarded the Contract, the successful bidder shall promptly execute the Contract and shall furnish a bond of faithful performance of the Contract in the full amount of the Contract price.
