The work to be performed is as follows: Schedule A includes road improvements along Orchard Ave from 3rd St to 5th St consisting ofroad reconstruction, edge grind, and overlay, pavement markings, and associated project restoration as shown on the Contract Plans. Schedule B includes road improvements along Orchard Ave from 5th. St to 10th St consisting ofroad reconstruction, edge grind and overlay, pavement markings, and associated project restoration, as shown on the Contract Plans. The base engineer's estimate for this project is $215,000 - $245,000. The time of completion (performance period) for this Project is 10 working days. All bids shall be submitted on the prescribed Bid Forms and in the manner as stated in this advertisement and in the Project Manual and said bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit m the form of a cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond to the City of G old Bar in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount, ofthe bid. If a surety bond is used, said bond shall be issued by a surety authorized and registered to issue said bonds in the State of Washington. The bond shall specify the surety's name, address, contact and phone number, and shall include a power of attorney appointing the signatory of the bond as the person authorized to execute it. Should the successful bidder fa.il to enter into the Contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in. the Information for Bidders, the bid deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Gold Bar. Faxed bids and/or surety bonds will not he accepted. Contractors/Subcontractors must comply with Executive Order 11246 as amended by Executive Order 1.1375 regarding affirmative action and equal opportunity. The City of Gold. When awarded the Contract, the successful bidder shall promptly execute the Contract and shall furnish a bond of faithful performance of the Contract in the full amount of the Contract price.
