No bids received. Furnishing of all labor and materials, and for performing all activities specified in the Contract Documents, for the Water Well Repairs Project. The project generally consists of the cleaning of the well screen of well #4 and once complete, the design furnishing and installation of a new permanent pump assembly. Any bid without the certificate of responsibility written on the outside of the sealed envelope shall not be opened and considered. City of Port Gibson well #4, is located within the limits of the city barn site at the northeast corner of Vine and Chinquepin Streets. It has been sitting idle since it was taken out of service in mid 2021. The well piping and pump assembly were pulled around July of 2021 when a video of the well shaft was taken and are currently sitting onsite adjacent to the well. The July 20, 2021, video inspection of the well is available as part of the bid documents. The project will consist of the following items: o Furnish and install a project sign at the project site of the type and size shown in these specifications. o Provide a pre-cleaning inspection video for the entire well o Provide high pressure jetting and chemical treatment of the well screen to clean the screen o Provide a post-cleaning inspection video for the entire well o Install a temporary pump assembly and perform a pumping test of sufficient duration to determine the drawdown and new capacity. o Design, furnish and install a new permanent pump assembly to include new piping, wiring, pump & motor and all misc. items. The City of Port Gibson reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in the bid process and to reject any and all bids. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed in writing to Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications will be issued by Addenda mailed to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents.Only answersto questions by formal written addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Addenda may also be issued to modify the Bidding Documents as deemed advisable by Owner or Engineer. No addenda will be issued within forty-eight (48) hours of the advertised bid time, exclusive of Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays.
