A gymnasium renovation at A.W. Watson Elementary School under the Claiborne County School District. Sealed bids will be received by the Business Manager at Claiborne County School District, 404 Market Street, Port Gibson, Mississippi 39150, or electronically by online submission. Plan holders are required to register for an account at www.m3aarchplans.com to view bid documents. Printed copies are not available through the Architect, and plan holders are responsible for their own reproduction cost. All questions regarding plan clarifications or requests for information should be directed to McElroy Architecture PLLC. All contractors who intend to submit bids are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid conference at the A.W. Watson Elementary School Gymnasium. The successful bidder will have 240 calendar days from the issuance of Notice to Proceed to complete the base bid scope of the project. Liquidated damages of $1,000 per day will be assessed for each day the work is not substantially complete. All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or a Bid Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Mississippi. Contractors have the option of submitting bids electronically at www.centralbidding.com in lieu of sealed bids. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount, written by a company licensed to do business in Mississippi. Bids will be accepted from contractors properly licensed under Mississippi Law for the classification of Building Construction. No bid may be withdrawn for forty-five days after receipt of bids. The Claiborne County School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to award the project based on whatever basis is in the interest of the Owner.
