Argonne ES HVAC Replacement The Project is generally described as the replacement of a rooftop-mounted HVAC unit of the Multi-Purpose Room at Argonne Elementary School. This project involves: a) Removal of the existing rooftop-mounted HVAC unit and associated ductwork and its replacement with a new roof-mounted HVAC unit and associated ductwork, sheet metal flashings, and roof curbs. b) Testing, adjusting & balancing of HVAC unit. c) Reconnection of existing Distech controls and control panel to the existing SFUSD Energy Management System. d) Miscellaneous work such as rough carpentry, structural work, roof repair, cement plaster repair, painting, and plumbing & electrical work. The Estimated construction value of the work is $250,000.00 In accordance with the provisions of California Public Contract Code 3300, the District requires that Bidders possess the following classification(s) of California Contractors License at the time that the Bid Proposals are opened: Class C-20 Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning Contractor. Any Bidder not so duly and properly licensed shall be subject to all penalties imposed by law. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by Bid Security in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the Bid Proposal, inclusive of any additive Alternate Bid Item(s). Failure of any Bid Proposal to be accompanied by Bid Security in the form and in the amount required shall render such Bid Proposal to be nonresponsive and rejected by the District. Bid Proposals shall not be withdrawn by any Bidder for a period of ninety (90) days after the opening of Bid Proposals. During this time, all Bidders shall guarantee prices quoted in their respective Bid Proposals. The District reserves the right to reject any or all Bid Proposals or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any Bid Proposal or in the bidding.
