This pay item covers the following work to be performed by the contractor. 1. Mobilization: This work shall consist of preparatory work and operations necessary for the movement of personnel, equipment, supplies, and incidentals to the project site for the establishment of offices, buildings, and other facilities necessary for work on the project and for all other work or operations which must be performed, or costs incurred when beginning work on the project. 2. Contractor Layout: This work shall consist of the contractor performing or causing to be performed all necessary survey and layout of the improvements, including setting line and grade. The engineering consultant will be responsible for setting control points, but the contractor will be responsible for the layout of all other improvements. 3. As-builts: This work shall consist of the contractor providing to the owner a complete set of asbuilt drawings that satisfactory depict the location (line and grade) of all improvements installed as part of this contract. This shall be provided as both a paper copy and an electronic copy.
