Remodeling of a medical facility in Binghamton, New York. Completed plans call for the remodel of a medical facility.
The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) is seeking to a qualified Vendor to perform a kitchen remodel, through an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Greater Binghamton Health Center (GBHC), located at 425 Robinson St, Binghamton, NY 13904. The required specifications are listed in Section 1 - Scope of Work in the IFB document. Questions regarding this solicitation are due per the instructions in the IFB by 3:00 PM ET, Wednesday March 19th, 2025. Questions will be accumulated by OMH and responses will be sent to potential bidders on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025. The Q&A will also be posted to the contract reporter. Please check the Contract Reporter website frequently for updates. Any documentation regarding this procurement will be posted. "Pursuant to the New York State Finance Law Sections 139-j and 139-k, the Procurement Lobbying Act applies to this solicitation. Only the designated, sole point of contact listed below should be contacted during the restricted period of communication. The restricted period begins with the publication of the ad in the New York State Contract Reporter and will end with the approval by the New York State Office of the State Comptroller of this contractual agreement. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 16% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 14% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% Disadvantaged Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 0% A. All bidders must make a site visit to verify field conditions at the Facility. Blind bids will not be accepted as bidders must familiarize themselves with Facility security protocols to make an accurate bid. B. Notify Plant Facilities immediately of any discovered issues, concerns, problems, and any work that is outside the scope of work. C. Remove lower cabinets, countertops, and sinks. D. Clean, patch and paint walls after cabinets are removed. E. Replace with stainless steel countertop, cabinets, and sinks. F. Cabinets and countertop will replace the exact footprint of the cabinets and countertops with one alteration. The countertop and sink will be one piece with a 4-inch backsplash. G. The backer will be made with Moisture Resistant poplar plywood or stainless-steel channels. H. Cabinets will have kick plates installed. I. Some of the cabinet doors and draws will require locking mechanisms. The locking mechanism will have to accept the facility best cylinders and cores. J. All stainless-steel products will be heavy duty. K. New hardware for the sinks and drains. Faucets will be Kraus commercial grade type faucets or equivalent. L. Submittals Required: Winning bidder must submit drawings of cabinet layout, constructions specifications, finish sample and countertop material specifications. Contractor shall not move forward with ordering materials until submittals have been approved by The Facility Plant Superintendent and Business Office. M.
