Provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, incidentals, permits and taxes necessary to replace ADA ramp on State-Owned Housing R3 59 and other miscellaneous work. The location of services shall be performed at Silverado Fisheries Base, 7329 Silverado Trail, Napa CA 94558, Napa County. Estimated Cost: $ 45,000.00 License Required: A General Engineering Contractor or B General Building Contractor Participation in Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise Program (DVBE): The minimum DVBE participation percentage goal is 3%. Failure to fulfill the DVBE requirement will render your bid non-responsive. DVBE Incentive: For evaluation purposes only, an incentive will be given to bidders who exceed the 3% DVBE participation requirements. Refer to the Instructions to Bidders. Small Business Preference and Small Business Subcontractor participation: A five percent (5%) Small Business Preference will be granted to properly certified small businesses (a copy of your certification must be submitted with the bid proposal). As of March 1, 2015, Senate Bill 854 requires that No Contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations for projects greater than $25,000.00. Failure to register with DIR or list sub-contractors not registered will render your bid non-responsive. Additional contract time will be allowed for the delay caused by the shortage of materials, provided the Contractor advises Engineer IN WRITING within 15 days from the beginning of such a delay and provided the Contractor has made a diligent effort to get supplies from known sources. Bids of $5,000 and over shall have enclosed, a Cashier's Check, Certified Check, or a Bidder's Bond executed as surety by a corporation authorized to issue surety bonds in the State of California, made payable to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, in an amount equal to at least 10% of the amount bid. Bid prices/rates shall also include the cost for obtaining payment and performance bond premiums based on the Total Bid Amount + Contingency (maximum 10%.) When the Contract Sum exceeds ten thousand dollars ($10,000), Contractor must furnish, in duplicate, a Performance Bond, to accompany the Contract, in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum guaranteeing faithful performance of the Work. Performance Bonds must be prepared on Performance Bond (FG-188) as furnished by the State. This may be waved by the department for small business/DVBE contracts and Emergency Contracts.
