Site work and paving for a civil project in Mendon, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.

The project is located on Journeys End in Mendon at the end of the pavement to the end of the road and intersection of 5 driveways, approximate project length .22 miles. The installation of erosion control measures is phase A of the project and is partially funded by a Better Roads Program Grant. Expenses must be kept separate and submitted in accordance with the grant requirements. The scope of work of phase A will include excavation and installation of catch basin, cross culvert, driveway culverts, subbase gravel, excavate rock lined ditch & establish grass lined ditch, traffic control, seed, topsoil, mulch, mobilization and demobilization of material and equipment. Phase B will consist of reconstruction of the roadway to include excavation, installation and compaction of roadbed state spec material and paving. The VAOT 2011 Standard Specifications for construction as modified shall apply. All Federal, State and local laws apply. All construction will be in accordance with the Town of Mendon Highway Specifications Class 3 Roadway, the Agency of Transportation Standard D-33 and the Municipal Roads General Permit. The final surface pavement will be applied at 2.5" base course of HMA Type II and 1.5" top of HMA Type IV compacted. Traffic Control must be in accordance with the 2009 MUTCD. The road must maintain access during construction. Bidder agrees to start work under this contract after the Notice to Proceed has issued and that the Final Completion of the construction project is June 13, 2025.
