Site work for a water / sewer project in Clare, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
1.1 Scope This specification covers the well cleaning and rehabilitation, pump overhaul, pump reinstallation and start-up. 1.2 Work Included a. Removal of pump motor b. Removal of pump discharge head c. Removal of all column assembly (column, lineshaft, bearing retainers, etc.) d. Removal of pump bowl e. Removal of suction pipe f. Photo log of well after cleaning g. Well cleaning h. Replacement of pump new below the head i. Motor overhaul j. Pump discharge head overhaul k. New head/motor shaft l. Reinstallation, chlorination, start-up and testing of pump m.Re-chlorination if required shall be performed at no additional cost and two consecutive samples for bacteria must be achieved before considering the project complete. The estimate project cost is $30,000. The City is accepting bids to rehabilitate Well 9. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive irregularities and nonconformities in proposals, to accept and reject proposals based on what the City Council deems is in the best interests of the City, to negotiate with the selected contractor, and to award a contract as the City Council deems is in the best interests of the City. This may not necessarily be the lowest bidder. The City of Clare is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
