Site work for a playground / park / athletic field in Sacramento, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.

Southgate Recreation & Park District ("District") is inviting informal bids for this Project. The scope of work consists, in general, of furnishing all permits, materials, labor, services, tools, plants, supplies, equipment, management and superintendence necessary. Tasks associated with this work include, but are not limited to, the following: BASE BID 1. District to procure Little Tikes Commercial play equipment (not in Contractor's scope of work) o 4 Swing, 8' Max Play Swing Set with 2 Belt Swings and 2 Tot Bucket Swings (#200202202) o Silly Face Panel (#200203631) o Alex's Lemonade Stand (#200203435) o Activity Panel with Four-the-Win Insert (2002203478) 2. Contractor to provide temporary chain link construction fencing as needed to secure work area. Ensure fencing is outside use area of existing play equipment, which will remain open during construction. 3. Contractor to coordinate delivery, receiving, storing, transportation, and off hauling of Districtprocured play equipment. 4. Demolish and remove existing swing set (including footings) and dispose of off-site in a legal manner. Salvage existing swings and attachment hardware and provide to District. 5. Stockpile existing engineered wood fiber surfacing as needed to install new swing set footings. 6. Layout and install District-procured play equipment. Provide all necessary equipment for complete installation. Ensure location of newly installed play equipment meets US Consumer Product Safety Commission (USCPSC) Public Playground Safety Handbook (latest edition) requirements and manufacturer's specifications and details. Play equipment use zones shall be verified and confirmed by Contractor prior to excavation of subgrade. Adjust location and alignment of District-procured play equipment as needed to ensure use zone compliance. 7. District to inspect Contractor's play equipment and use zone layout and installation of play equipment. 8. Clean up work area and remove all trash and debris from project area. 9. Relocate stockpiled engineered wood fiber surfacing to ensure that swing set use area has 12" min. of compacted fall attenuation surfacing throughout. 10. Contractor to provide, install, and spread 32 cubic yards of engineered wood fiber play surfacing (uncompacted 4" over entire play area). Engineered wood fiber play surfacing shall meet all US Consumer Product Safety Commission Public Playground Safety Handbook (latest edition) requirements. Contractor shall ensure that all use areas within play area shall have 12" min. of compacted fall attenuation surfacing. 11. Contractor shall completely clean up all dust and debris from engineered wood fiber surfacing installation. The District intends to award the Agreement to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder on the Base Bid. To the extent allowed by law, District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding procedure. District specifically reserves the right to not award the Agreement after the opening of bids. In connection with the performance of this Agreement, full compliance with all applicable safety and health standards and with all applicable laws and regulations concerning Equal Employment Opportunity and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises will be required. For Projects over $25,000, Contractor shall, at their expense, furnish Payment Bonds, in amounts not less than 100% of the Bid. You may visit the site during normal business hours. Best rating of A-VII, and acceptable to District, and satisfying all requirements of the District's Agreement. Contract Documents include Agreement, General Conditions, Supplemental General Conditions, Prevailing Wages, Insurance Requirements, Bid (as supplied by Bidder), and Contract Bonds.
