The City of St. Petersburg is seeking quotes from qualified vendors for the construction of two (2) new shade structures at the St. Pete Youth Farm and North Shore Softball Field. The shade structures must remain consistent with other shade structures located throughout the City. Question Submission Deadline:March 7, 2025, 12:00pm All questions must be submitted via City's online portal. 1.2. Background The St. Pete Youth Farm is an active outdoor space used for educational engagement and urban farming. The programming and event space needs shade to allow the are to be well utilized and programmed during the hot summer months. Due to damage form Hurricane Milton, the shade structure over the bleachers at Northshore Softball Field must be replaced. Minimum Qualifications At a minimum, Vendor must meet the following qualifications: Have been in the business of providing shade installations at sports complexes, recreation centers or swimming pools as described herein for a minimum of three (3) years. Have the ability to obtain the minimum insurance requirements set for in the base agreement Must be able to obtain necessary permits At least 20% of work must be self-performed without the use of subcontractors 4.3. Specifications Youth Farm Shade Structure: approximately 30' x 60' 2 hip roof shade canopies with a base of 6 posts to span the 30' x 60' area. Vendor Responsibilities Expectations of performance: Shade project must be a permanent structure that is permitted by the St. Petersburg Building Department to withstand building requirements and wind loads to comply with current standard. Location of performance: St. Pete Youth Farm - 1664 12th St S, St. Petersburg, FL 33705 and North Shore Softball Field - 901 N Shore Dr NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 Materials and Equipment needed to perform: Vendor must supply all equipment needed to complete work. Schedule Work must be completed Monday - Friday (8am - 5pm) Set schedule- work can begin as soon as permit is approved. Shade needs to be completed by May 1, 2025. 4.5. City's Responsibilties At a minimum, City shall provide and meet the following responsibilities: City shall provide a point of contact (City Project Manager) to administer the Agreement. City Project Manager shall assist with planning, strategy, and objectives prior to performance of the Work. City Project Manager shall promptly respond to issues and inquiries so as not to hinder the progress, completion, or compensation for the Work.
