Questions Due Date: Apr 14th 2025, 2:00 PM EDT Pine Street Water Main Replacement Phase 1 Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Surety Company's Bid Bond on the form provided in the Bid Documents, naming as payee or Obligee, East Petersburg Borough, Lancaster County in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid submitted. The Surety Company must be acceptable to the Borough. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the above-specified date for receiving, opening and reading of bids, except as specifically may be provided by law. All Contracts exceeding $10,000.00 shall be performed in compliance with Executive Order 11246, entitled, Equal Employment Opportunity, as amended by Executive Order 11375 and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations (41 CFR Part 60). In addition, all Contractors shall comply with the Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause as required by Pennsylvania Executive Order 2016-05. Wages paid are subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act approved August 15, 1961, P.L. 987 as amended and supplemented. The Pennsylvania Human Relations Act of 1955, P.L. 744, No. 222, as amended June 25,1997 by Act 34 of 1997, 43 P.S. 951-963, shall apply to this Contract. East Petersburg Borough, Lancaster County, reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject any or all bids, and to delete any item or portion of an item without affecting the bids on the remaining items or portion of items. 1. Mobilization/ Demobilization: including but not limited to; bonds, insurances, site preparation and clean-up, erosion and sedimentation control best management practices (BMP's), parking and traffic control, any and all incidental work not covered in other bid items below but necessary for a complete project, as necessary; as specified herein and shown on the Contract Drawings, complete per lump sum. 6" Water Main - Pine Street: Furnish materials, equipment, and labor for installation of 6" concrete lined ductile iron (DIP) pipe with Tyton Joint and Field Lok gasket, including but not limited to: sawcut, excavation, bedding, backfilling, ductile iron pipe, fittings, adapters, joint restraints, thrust blocks, disinfection and pressure testing, tracing wire and warning tape, utility crossings, temporary and permanent trench restoration, and any other appurtenances to make an operational system; as specified herein and shown on the Contract Drawings, complete per linear foot. Tie-In to Existing System at Intersection of Hershey Avenue and Pine Street: Furnish materials, equipment, and labor for connection of new 6" water main to existing system including but not limited to: sawcut, bedding, backfilling, disassemble and remove existing blowoff (return to Borough), remove existing DIP to existing 6" gate valve; provide joint restraints, fittings, adapters, sleeves, thrust blocks, temporary/permanent trench restoration, and any other appurtenances to make an operational system; as specified herein and shown on the Contract Drawings, complete in place per lump sum. Tie-In to Existing System at Intersection of Pine Street and New Street: Furnish materials, equipment, and labor for connection of new 6" water main to existing system including but not limited to: sawcut, bedding, backfilling, removal of existing valve box, installation of 6" tee, 6" gate valves, 6" pipe, 6" 45-degree bends (as needed), 6"cross, 6" 22.5 degree elbows, and relocation of existing 6" valves (as needed) and valve box; provide joint restraints, fittings, adapters, sleeves, thrust blocks, temporary/ permanent trench restoration, and any other appurtenances to make an operational system; as specified herein and shown on the Contract Drawings, complete in place per lump sum. Replace and connect Fire Hydrant near Intersection of New Street and Pine Street: Furnish materials, equipment, and labor for connection of replacement fire hydrant assembly near intersection of New Street and Pine Street including, but not limited to: sawcut, excavation, bedding, backfill, tee, 6" DIP pipe from FH to new 6" main, new 6" gate valve with valve box to grade, thrust blocks and restraining joints, and temporary/permanent trench restoration; as specified herein and shown on the Contract Drawings, complete in place per lump sum.
