Questions Due Date:Feb 19th 2025, 12:00 PM CST *Only Prequalified* Various Trades Provide Labor and Materials: Overview: The Deneen Elementary School is located southeast of Chicago downtown, off interstate I94. The project includes selectively removing and replacing existing recessed lockers in the South and East wings on 1st and 2nd floors. A few blank offs will also be replaced. These will be marked for your information, prior to the pre-bid walkthrough. This includes any stairs leading to the stage from the Gymnatorium. There are two alternate scope items, which include window drapery replacement inside the Gymnatorium and adding sidewalk concrete to the students' play area near the playground. This work, if executed, will include removal and disposal of 2 trees in this expansion area. Scope: BASE BID 1. Demolish and dispose off the existing lockers as per state laws. Furnish and install selectively marked 317 recessed lockers along with 8 blank offs in the first and second floor corridors of South and East wings. Note: No work is required for the unmarked bank of lockers. Various Trades Invitation to Bid 2. Strip existing finish at the Gymnatorium stage wooden floor and refinish per the attached CPS specifications. Include refinishing stairs leading from Gymnatorium to stage, if present. All questions/requests must be received by 2/27/25. Online Portal Construction is required to be completed during the CPS Summer break 2025. The earliest start date is 6/16/25. Expected construction duration is 6 weeks. The required Preliminary Acceptance date is 7/25/25.
