Renovation of a detention facility in Woodland, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
The Project consists of all labour, materials equipment and services necessary to repair all damaged components to return solar facility into working order. This repair includes (A) for combiner box 5, replace combiner box and internal components, replace existing conductors, provide and string new conductors, replace liquid-tight conduit; (B), for combiner box 6, replace existing conductors, provide and string new feeders; (C) perform all disposal of old material that was replaced in accordance with appropriate disposal standards; (D) perform reenergizing to return solar facility returns to working and solar energy producing order. Estimated repair cost: Less than $200,000. Question Deadline - 03/14/2025 at 5:00 PM P - Any questions must be submitted in writing. All questions will be compiled and answered on or before Monday, March 17, 2025. Please do not email individual County staff with your questions. Each bidder is solely responsible for timely submission of its bid; the County is not responsible for any issue in a bidder's ability to timely submit its bid or portion thereof. Any claim by a bidder of error in its bid must be made in compliance with section 5100 et seq. of the Public Contract Code. Prior to publicly reading aloud bids, the County reserves the right to verify the genuineness of any bid security and the contents of the bid proposals. All bids shall be on the forms provided by the County and must be responsive. To bid on this Project, the Bidder is required to be registered as a public works contractor with the Department of Industrial Relations and to possess one or more of the following State of California Contractor's license required for this work: Class C-10, Electrical Contractors or Class C-46 Solar Contractors performing the work. The Bidder's license(s) must remain active and in good standing throughout the term of the Contract. Additionally, the Bidder must pre-register as a CUPCCAA vendor at online. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work. The successful Bidder may substitute securities for any monies withheld by the District to ensure performance under the Contract, in accordance with the provisions of section 22300 of the Public Contract Code. The successful Bidder shall comply with all requirements of Division 2, Part 7, Chapter 1, of the Labour Code and Title 8 of the California Code of Regulations. For all work performed pursuant to this Contract, the Contractor and all subcontractors shall pay all workers not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and for holiday and overtime work as determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations, State of California, ("DIR") for the type of work performed and the locality in which the work is to be performed within the boundaries of the District, pursuant to sections 1770 et seq. of the California Labour Code. Prevailing wage rates are also available from the District or the DIR website at online. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for ninety (90) days after the date of the bid opening.
