Murray Ridge Water Tower Improvements The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, and supervision of labors necessary to complete the work. This project includes abrasive blast cleaning and recoating of the interior (dry and wet) and exterior of a 0.30 Million Gallon Elevated Storage Tank at 1033 Murray Ridge Rd. in Elyria, Ohio. The project will include structural repairs, safety upgrades, new water quality equipment and other misc. improvements as shown on construction plans and specifications prepared by the Office of the Elyria City Engineer or its Consultant. BID SECURITY: The bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty. The bid guaranty must meet all requirements of Section 153.54 of the ORC and the Instructions to Bidders COMPLETION TIME: The contractor will have 120 calendar days to substantially complete the work from Notice of Commence Work. PREVAILING WAGES: The contractor and any subcontractor must comply with the prevailing wage rate requirements on public improvements in Lorain County and the City of Elyria, Ohio, as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division (614) 644-2239. A complete listing of prevailing wage rates on public improvements in Lorain County may be obtained from the City of Elyria Engineer's Office at (440) 326-1444 or at www.ohio.gov/laws. Please note it is the Contractor's responsibility to know the prevailing wage rates on public improvements in Lorain County. COMPLIANCE WITH ALL LAWS: All work shall be carried out in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations that apply to the work. Any project specification item in conflict with a federal, state, or local law, rule or regulation, shall be void. AWARD OF CONTRACT: The City reserves the right to waive any technicalities or informalities, to reject any or all bids received, and to accept any bid with any combination of alternates which is deemed most favorable to the City of Elyria, Ohio at the time and under the conditions stipulated in the project documents.
