Recent discussions regarding its preservation versus demolition culminated in the City Council's decision not to proceed with replacing the building. During previous discussions to demolish the structure for a new tennis facility, full asbestos testing was completed by All-Phase Environmental, Inc. In order to reuse the structure once a full assessment is completed, the building must be abated prior to occupancy due to air-born asbestos containing materials being present. No demolition is being done under this contract. Abatement shall be completed per the Asbestos Inspection Report provided by All-Phase Environmental Consultants Inc. and included as Attachment B. Prior to commencing the project, contractor shall obtain the following: An abatement permit from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Prior to commencement of any abatement work, the Contractor shall submit for the City of Pueblo review, a Project Design detailing the plan for accomplishing abatement of premise.
