The City of West Chicago is seeking qualified contractors for the excavation and disposal of approximately 5,000 cubic yards of contaminated soil, and subsequent backfill of the excavated area with specified backfill materials. Washington Street City: West Chicago County: DuPage State/Province: IL All bid proposals are to be made on the forms provided and will be made a part of the contract documents to be executed with the City. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the amount of 5% of the bid. Bid bond shall be in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check drawn on a responsible bank doing business in the United States and shall be made payable to the City of West Chicago. All bids not accompanied by a bid deposit will be rejected. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid after the scheduled closing time for a period of sixty (60) days. Minorities and Women-Owned Businesses are encouraged to submit bids on these services. The City of West Chicago requires all construction Contractors bidding on Public Works projects and all of their sub-contractors to be governed by the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bid proposals, to waive any informality in any bid proposal, to readvertise the proposed services, and to accept the proposal most advantageous to the City.
