Bids for the above project will be received by the Highway Commissioner of Chippewa County. In general, the project consists of the deck replacement of one County bridge on CTH Q in the Town of Tilden. The project includes deck removal and replacement, new beam guard, and various other items necessary to complete the work as shown on the plans and included in the proposal and contract. A single prime bid will be received for the work. Approach roadway items including HMA paving, base aggregate, aggregate shouldering, earthwork, topsoil, culvert, and restoration will be completed by the Chippewa County Highway Department. Bidders shall be experienced in this type of work and be prequalified with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for work in the class and amount of their bid or shall complete the Statement of Bidder's Qualifications and Bidders Proof of Responsibility. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the amount of 10% of the maximum bid amount. Bid and bid security may not be withdrawn for a period of time as specified in the Special Provisions. Bid security will be retained if the Bidder is awarded the Work and fails to execute the Contract and furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds. This project is being funded by the State of Wisconsin Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP - CHIS). Prevailing wage rates are not applicable to this project. Chippewa County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities in any bid.
