The Carteret County Board of County Commissioners invites qualified contractors to submit bids for the construction of the Straits Water Access Living Shoreline and Improvement Project, located at 1651 Harkers Island Road, Beaufort, NC 28516. Question Deadline 04/23/2025 at 2:00 PM ET Questions concerning this RFP should be submitted in writing and directed to Carteret County Government Attn: Ashley Bennett Purchasing Agent 210 Turner Street Beaufort, NC 28516 E-mail: Ashley.Bennett@carteretcountync.gov Carteret County anticipated award of contract on April 21, 2025 with notice to proceed issued on April 22, 2025. to be specified in written order from the County and or shall fully complete all work hereunder within (120) consecutive calendar days from the Notice to Proceed for the base bid contract the Contractor shall pay the Owner the amount of One Hundred Dollars ($100) as liquidated damages reasonably estimated in advance to cover the losses to be incurred by the Owner should the Contractor fail to complete the Work within the time specified. The Carteret County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any and all responses to the Request for Proposal, and to accept any responses which in its opinion may be in the best interest of Carteret County.
