Renovation of a municipal facility in Beaufort, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Carteret County Government is soliciting competitive proposals to furnish and install a new storefront system for the reception area of the New Admin Facility located at 210 Turner St, Beaufort, NC 28516. The Contractor shall abide by the details and shall refer to the associated diagrams in addition to the scope of work specified within the documents provided below. The Contractor shall install a new storefront system over the existing reception area, incorporating two services areas and an exit-only glass door with a crash bar. o The new system shall include two (2) pass-through service openings, each fitted with aluminum, non-ballistic speak-throughs, and an 36" x 80" exit only storefront door equipped with an interior crashbar. o All glass shall be 1/4" tempered storefront glass. o Framing shall be four-inch (4") aluminum storefront material. All gaps and voids shall be closed using like materials. o The new system shall be securely fastened. If necessary, supports above the drop grid ceiling shall be included. General Detail o The Contractor shall relocate any electrical devices in the way of the existing back wall in order to create a 4-foot (4') opening encased in wooden trim. Wooden trim shall be 1" x 6" with mitered edges painted white. o New Mannington Commercial, Nature's Path, Madison Maple - Creek, 6"x36" LVP flooring shall be used to tie into the existing flooring following the new 4-foot (4') opening. Schedule, Cleaning, and Miscellaneous o Interested Contractors shall contact the County POC for a site visit. o Work shall be performed outside normal business hours, scheduled by the County POC. o The Contractor shall paint all disturbed areas to match existing colors. o All new material shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. o The Contractor shall verify all measurements and material quantities. o All associated debris shall be cleaned and disposed off-site after each work day. o Any damages caused by the Contractor shall be the Contractor's responsibility to fix or replace at the County's discretion. o The Contractor shall obtain the required permits, if required, give all notices to the POC (including a copy of any permits), and comply with all laws, ordinances, codes, rules and regulations bearing on the conduct of the work. Permits shall be posted onsite at project location. No time extensions shall be granted or financial consideration given to the Contractor for time or monies lost due to violations of any such ordinance, code, law or regulations that may occur. Alternate No.1 Bid: The Contractor shall install a sliding glass window with pulls in place of the opening, as shown in the diagram below The Contractor shall relocate any electrical devices in the way of the existing back wall in order to create a 4-foot (4') opening encased in wooden trim.
