Renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Eagan, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field.
SCOPE OF WORK The contractor is going to replace 1 set of swing doors (with center mullion) with another sent of swing doors (without a center mullion). The contractor will also be replacing two single automatic door openers with 2 double automatic door openers. Materials to Purchase The following is a list of material the contractor will need to provide for this work. It is not a complete list of materials but covers most of the larger items needed: o 2 LCN 9550 Series openers o Regular Arms o 710 finish o Width to be determined by contractor. o 2 Von Duprin 9947 o Quiet Electric Latch Retraction (QEL) o Night Latch (NL) o Cylinder Dogging (CD) o Less Bottom Rod (LBR) o Dummy Trim (DT) o 710 Finish o 2 Aluminum store front doors (if current doors cannot be reused) o Concealed vertical rod prepared. o 710 finish o Mid-rail for support o 2 EPT-10 (if current ones cannot be re-used) Contractor Responsibilities The following is a list of tasks the contractor is responsible to complete. o Remove the current closers (return units to the county at 1590 Highway 55, Hastings MN) o Remove the current Von Duprin crash bars (return units to the county at 1590 Highway 55, Hastings MN) o Remove and dispose of the current doors if the current doors cannot be re-used. o Provide the project manager a plan for the new door design. o Disconnect (do not damage) existing low voltage wire and card access equipment on the doors and store onsite for future use. o Install the purchased LCN 9550 openers o Install the purchased aluminum store front doors (if current doors are not being re-used) o Install the EPT-10s into the new doors (if current ones are not being re-used) o Wire the new LCN door openers. An electrical subcontractor may be hired if contracted company is unable to. o Gather all necessary construction permits o Meet ADA requirements for swinging entrance doors. o Meet all NFPA standards for swinging entrance doors. o Keep the existing visual aesthetic. o Provide a point of contract for scheduling construction dates and times. o Dakota County will be using other contractors for parts of this project. o Minimize disruption of the park building which will remain open during the work. o Coordination with the project manager and the park will be needed. o Weekend/Overnight/Holiday/Early Morning works is allowed and encouraged. o Ensure all electrical work for the new doors is up to code. o Repair, replace, or otherwise correct deficient materials and workmanship without additional cost to the owner. o Follow all county guidelines for contractors. Dakota County Staff Responsibilities The following is a list of tasks the county is responsible to complete for the contractor. o Provide the contractor access to the site o Hire a low voltage contractor to re-connect/re-install the removed card access equipment. o Have the county locksmith prepare and install the cores for the doors
