The Project is generally described as removal and replacement of existing mains in the Bedford Road and Lincoln Road project areas, including related service connections, gate valves, hydrants, and fittings, complete temporary and permanent paving; and all materials and equipment, construction, and services inherent to the Work. RIPTION OF THE WORK A. The Work includes labor, material and equipment, services required for construction, testing, and commissioning of the Project in accordance with the Contract Documents and as more specifically described in the Specifications and Drawings and includes, but is not limited to, the following principal features. 1. Installation of cement lined ductile iron water main, valves, fittings, and services 2. Furnishing and installing temporary water mains to provide water service and fire protection during construction 3. Test pit on Lincoln Road, between Codman Road and Route 117 to determine water main material 4. Traffic control 5. Temporary trench paving 6. Erosion Control and Work within wetlands buffer zones 7. Site restoration, including but not limited to restoration of crosswalks, driveway pavers, sidewalk scoring, and stone walls 8.
