Question Deadline 03/23/2025 at 10:00 PM CT The Iowa DOT is seeking competitive bids from qualified contractors to furnish all materials, labor and equipment necessary to remove and replace window, masonry units, mortar, caulking as needed to make area weather tight. Canopy to be salvaged for reinstallation. Work to be done M - F during regular working hours or as coordinated with site. Estimated project start date: 7/1/2025 (The date shall be coordinated with the IDOT Project Manager. Existing hoop to be empty of salt mid April. (This is the estimated start date after all required documents are received (i.e., Insurance, performance bond and vendor signed contract). Estimated project end date: 12/31/2025 (This includes resolution to all punch list items, inspections and DOT acceptance typically used in construction bids). Contract Award It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible contractor whose submitted quote is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders past work performance, and work capacity. Purchase Order A Purchase order will be issued for this project. No considerations or revision in the contract price or scope of the project will be considered by the Iowa DOT for any item which could have been revealed by a thorough on-site inspection and examination.
