Each proposal shall be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, Cashier's Check, or Certified Check in favor of the Borough of Chalfant in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the proposal, as evidence the bidder will accept and carry out the conditions of the contract in case of award. This contract shall be subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended, 43 P.S. Section 165 et seq. The work essentially includes site preparation, milling of existing bituminous pavement, bituminous levelling, placement of bituminous pavement, and all required restoration, and all other related appurtenances. All work under this Contract will be performed on various streets within the Borough of Chalfant, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The Borough is located in southeastern Allegheny County along the northside of U.S. Route 30 (Ardmore Boulevard) approximately seven miles southeast of the downtown area of the City of Pittsburgh.
