Description

Renovation of a military facility in Cold Lake, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

This Request for Expression of Interest (RFEOI) is the first step of a two-step solicitation process, the second step being the Tender Phase. Only the general contractors who will have responded to this RFEOI will be invited to submit a bid during the Tender Phase. Defence Construction Canada (DCC) invites general contractors to express their interest in providing all labour, materials, and equipment necessary to provide an HVAC and Controls Upgrade at Building B170, including work as detailed under the civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical disciplines. This project aims to upgrade, and reconfigure the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and Building Automation System (BAS) of Building 170 (B170) to improve the heating, ventilation and cooling efficiency of the building and improve controls and automation of the HVAC system to maintain the environmental control for the office spaces. B170 is an 8098 m2 two-winged, three-level building where the West Wing was constructed circa 1984, and the East Wing was constructed about one year thereafter. As such, the HVAC system and components servicing either wing are distinct and, for the most part, separate. Technical plans and specifications are not available during this RFEOI and will be provided during the Tender Phase; however, the Standard Construction Contract Documents for Electronic Bidding, DCL 250E, are available on DCC's website: https://www.dcc-cdc.gc.ca/industry/forms.
