All questions must be submitted to Department of Purchasing & Supply Chain (jbagby@bpu.com and purchasing@bpu.com). This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for Horizontal Collector Well No. 2 Pump No. 5 Pull, Inspection and Rehab. The Kansas City Board of Public Utilities (BPU) is seeking proposals from interested proposers for the pulling of a vertical turbine pump for cleaning, sandblasting and a full inspection at Horizontal Collector Well No. 2 (HCW2) at BPU Nearman Water Treatment Plant (NWTP). Per the attached specification, proposer shall provide all equipment and services to pull the existing pump and transport if necessary for a full inspection. The proposer shall also provide all equipment and services for rehabbing or replacing any pump components identified in the inspection as needing rehabilitation or replacement. Lastly the proposer shall provide all equipment and services for reinstalling the pump at the HCW2. BPU shall be responsible for unwiring the existing pump motor prior the proposer pulling the pump, the lifting of the motor will be the responsibility of the proposer. BPU shall be responsible for the rewiring of the existing pump motor after the proposer has set the motor after the reinstallation of the pump. A full inspection report will need to be provided by the proposer to BPU after the pump has been inspected and the components requiring rehab or replacement have been identified, the report shall include the lead times for any components requiring replacement and the time needed to rehab existing components as well as the breakdown of the cost for all services.
