The District seeks written proposals from qualified firms provide land surveying, research and legaldescriptions to support easements and other legal documents, bathymetric surveys, construction staking andrelated services to support District-lead planning and design projects. Additional Services may include but are notlimited to providing senior technical review or guidance for District-led projects, provide documentation to supportengineering assessments, drawings, legal descriptions or related deliverables, supply other engineering or design-related services related to the repair, rehabilitation or replacement of District assets that support the internaldrainage and levee system. This special district replaced the four independentDrainage Districts, each of which manages parts of the system, and help to establish a safer, more modern andsustainable way to manage flood safety along the Columbia River in the Portland metropolitan region. The Districtcontinues the work of the four legacy drainage districts, and takes on new services, including: Contributing toimproved water quality, fish and wildlife habitat, and landscape resilience in the managed floodplain; . Promotingequity and social justice in all aspects of the district's operations; . Preparing for and adapting to the impacts ofclimate change in relation to the managed floodplain; . Providing the public with information regarding theinfrastructure and the history of the managed floodplain
