Prospectivebidders are hereby notified that they are solely responsible for ensuring timely delivery of their bid to the City of Bremerton. COMPLETION OF WORK: The WORK must be completed within sixty (60) working days after the commencementdate stated in the Notice to Proceed. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This Contract provides for the installation of storm sewernetwork improvements including Contech Stormfilter stormwater treatment vaults on Francis Street. The work includes, but isnot limited to, temporary traffic control, demolition, removal and replacement of stormwater pipes and catch basins, grading,furnishing, and installing precast concrete treatment vaults, hydrodynamic separator, reconstruction of the roadway with hotmix asphalt, pavement markings, and landscape restoration all in accordance with the Contract Plans, these ContractProvisions, and the latest edition of the WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications. Sealed envelopes containing bids shall be entitled:Francis Street Outfall Stormwater Treatment Project. PROPOSAL BOND: Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bidproposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) ofthe amount of such bid proposal. The failure to furnish a bid deposit of a minimum of five percent (5%) shall make the bidnonresponsive and shall cause the bid to be rejected by the Contracting Agency. CONTRACT BOND: The successful bidder willalso be required to provide a Performance Bond for 100 percent of the Contract Price. Should the successful bidder fail toenter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, thebid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Bremerton. The Bidder shall guarantee the TotalBid Price for a period of seventy-five (75) calendar days from the date of bid opening.
