Site work for a water / sewer project in Monongah, West Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Project includes the following Work: Installation of approximately 3,000 linear feet of new 8" and 6" gravity sewer lines, removal and replacement of approximately 1,000 linear feet of 8" and 6" gravity sewer lines, installation of approximately 30 new manholes, 65 customer and lateral reconnections with a cleanout, approximately 1,000 linear feet of WVDOH Type "A" trench repair and 2,400 linear feet of asphalt pavement repair with all other necessary and related appurtenances and restorations. The Work will be substantially completed within 150 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run, and completed and ready for final payment within 180 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Liquidated damages shall be $1,000 per day. A bidder may not withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Town of Monongah in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders. Bids received by Contractors that did not attend the Mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be returned unopened to the Bidders. The Town of Monongah reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
