Renovation of a mixed-use development in Springfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and parking garage.
1. Demolition and Removal Remove and dispose of the outside pergola (enclosure) adjacent to the LeSouk Hookah Lounge. Remove all litter, flowerpots, and salvageable landscaping. Remove brick pavers and sign poles. 2. Excavation and Repair Excavate as necessary to repair underground conduits for lighting and signs. Prepare the base for paver installation. 3. Installation and Construction Install new precast pavers on bituminous set bed with 12" gravel base. Install precast planter walls (5' x 11'). Plant and install soils for planters, including deciduous tree planting, perennial, and groundcover planting. Install lights and signs, including wiring. Construct and install seating as demonstrated in the attached exhibit. Adjust area drain rim/grates, catch basins, frames, and grates as needed. Install only teak benches. 4. Pedestrian Access: All work must be completed in stages to maintain pedestrian access throughout the duration of the project. Renovation of Courtyard between Columbus Center Garage and 1550 Main Street building. This courtyard runs from Bridge Street to Worthington Street in downtown Springfield. The SPA is seeking a contractor with at least five (5) years of satisfactory performance history with at least three (3) different contracts, similar in size and scope to the proposed scope of work.
