The intent of this invitation is to obtain offers from General Contractors for the construction of a new main entrance addition to the existing Northern College Campus located at 4715 Hwy 101 East, South Porcupine, Ontario. The successful General Contractor shall commence work and work continuously to complete the project within the time period indicated in their Tender Form. Documents are available at https://northernc.bonfirehub.ca/opportunities/90642 Question Acceptance Deadline: 2025/03/27 02:00:00 PM EDT SCOPE OF WORK The survey was performed with the objective of compiling an inventory of select designated substances at the Site, including ACM, lead in paints and other materials, mercury in equipment and fixtures and silica in common construction materials. All accessible areas of the Site were included in our assessment. The scope of the project included a survey, non-destructive in nature, of building materials to provide the following: • Visually identify selected designated substances; • Provide representative sampling of materials suspected of containing asbestos and paint suspected to contain lead; • Provide analysis of samples for asbestos type/percentage and lead content; and • Prepare a report documenting the findings of the assessment, including condition of designated substances found and recommendations for the proper handling and management of these materials. In areas of the campus constructed after 1990 (F- and G-Wings and the Learning Resource Centre) a cursory investigation (visual only), not a room-by-room assessment, was performed.
