The City of Morgan Hill will accept electronic bids for its 2025 Sidewalk Repairs and Replacement bid by or before Tuesday, April 8, 2025. Late bids will not be accepted. The project is located at various locations throughout Morgan Hill, and the scope of work is as follows: Repair, removal and replacement of damages concrete sidewalks (3,885 s.f.), 127 linear feet of curb and gutter, 14 curb ramps and removal of tree roots that had been removed prior to the sidewalks being opened up. The Project must be fully completed within 90 calendar days from the start date set forth in the Notice to Proceed. City anticipates that the Work will begin in May 2025, but the anticipated start date is provided solely for convenience and is neither certain nor binding. This Project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classification(s): A (General Engineering) or C-8 (Concrete). City will not accept a Bid Proposal from or enter into the Contract with a bidder, without proof that the bidder and its Subcontractors are registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations ("DIR") to perform public work under Labor Code Section 1725.5, subject to limited legal exceptions. Each Bid must be submitted using the Bid Proposal form provided with the Contract Documents. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent (10%) of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check made payable to City, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents. The bid security must guarantee that within ten (10) days after issuance of the notice of award, the bidder will execute the Contract and submit payment and performance bonds, insurance certificates and endorsements, valid Certificates of reported Compliance as required under the California Air Resources Board's In-Use Off-Road Diesel-Fuelled Fleets Regulation , if applicable, and any other submittals required by the Contract Documents and as specified in the notice of award. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds each for one hundred percent (100%) of the e Contract Price as further described in the Contract Documents. Estimated Cost. The estimated construction cost is $152,700.00. City reserves the right, acting in its sole discretion, to reject any bid protest that it determines lacks merit, to award the Contract to the bidder it has determined to be the responsible bidder submitting the lowest responsive bid, and to issue a Notice to Proceed with the Work notwithstanding any pending or continuing challenge to its determination. s.
