Site work and asbestos abatement for a municipal facility in Elizabethtown, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.

As of May 5, 2025, the project was awarded to BRONZE CONTRACTING LLC, with an awarded amount of $101,854.00 For Asbestos Abatement - Former Frontier Town Main Street Stuctures. SCOPE OF WORK A. This Section describes the methods and procedures for abatement of asbestos-containing materials (ACM) from the former hotel and welcome center structures that are structurally condemned buildings associated with the former Frontier Town, located in North Hudson, Essex County, New York, prior to scheduled demolition activities. Reference Appendix A for an aerial overview of the former Frontier Town, which shows the locations of the two structures. B. Building materials have been assumed to be ACM due to the structures being structurally condemned and surveys unable to be performed per 12 NYCRR Subpart 56-5. A copy of the letter of condemnation is provided in Appendix A. C. The Contractor shall verify the size of the structures to be demolished as the basis for the bid. Failure to do so shall not relieve the Contractor of its obligation to furnish all labor and materials necessary to perform the work. The general location and building images and aerial overview are included on the abatement plan in Appendix B. D. The Contractor shall provide temporary power and site access to the Asbestos Project Monitor. E. All work shall be performed in such a manner as to minimize the risk of exposure to personnel, to prevent exposure to occupants, and to minimize the risk of release of asbestos or asbestos-containing debris to the environment. F. All work shall be performed in strict accordance with the Project Documents and all governing codes, rules, and regulations. The information contained within this specification section will be considered part of the Project Documents. Where conflicts occur between the Project Documents and applicable codes, rules, and regulations, the more stringent procedure(s) shall apply. G. The Contractor shall take notice, and make employees aware, of occupational safety hazards associated with the abatement work and other work being performed on-site. The Contractor shall comply with any site-specific safety training that may be required by the Owner. H. The Contractor shall coordinate directly with the Owner for provision of water and electrical sources. If water and electrical sources are not directly available by the Owner, the Contractor shall be prepared to facilitate an alternate means. I. The Contractor shall be aware of all conditions of the project, including layout and accessibility for the designated work area(s). J. Title to materials: ACM resulting from abatement work, except as otherwise indicated, shall remain the property of the Owner. The Contractor is responsible for disposal, as specified, and maintaining records of disposal.
