The Town of Elizabethtown seeks qualifications for New York State licensed professional engineering firms or licensed engineering teams to prepare design services through Construction regarding the Well Source Development Project for the Water District residents of Elizabethtown. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The Town of Elizabethtown currently operates three municipal water districts: Water District No. 1- serves the New Russia area. Water District No. 2 - includes an extension along Route 9, south of the former Village of Elizabethtown. Water District No. 3 - encompasses all users within the boundaries of the former Village of Elizabethtown. The Town owns and operates the Elizabethtown Consolidated Water District, which includes all water supply, treatment, storage, and distribution infrastructure. The Town is seeking qualified proposals for a project that will: Develop two new well sources to meet system capacity standards, Eliminate reliance on spring sources identified as Ground Water Under the Direct Influence (GWUDI) of surface water, Transmission main and piping upgrades Upgrade telemetry and treatment systems, and Implement necessary improvements to the existing water treatment plant. The Town owns and manages the Elizabethtown Consolidated Water District, which includes the water supply, treatment, storage, and distribution infrastructure. The proposed project is to develop two new well sources to meet capacity standards, address use of springs (GWUDI), telemetry and treatment and necessary upgrades to the water treatment plant. In 2021, the Town of Elizabethtown retained Dodson Associates to prepare a Map, Plan, and Report (MPR) identifying proposed improvements to the municipal water system. The Town is currently under contract with a hydrogeologist and well driller to develop two production wells intended to serve as a redundant groundwater source for the system. The Town is now seeking qualified professional services to update the preliminary engineering to reflect the revised project scope and recent well-developed activities. These services will support continued planning, design, and implementation of improvements to the Town's water system. Total MWBE Participation Goals: 30% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6%
