The Town of Medway, hereinafter called the Owner and Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Former Medway Block Site Asbestos Abatement and Building Demolition, located in Medway, MA, in accordance with the contract documents. The project includes the removal of asbestos containing materials and other hazardous materials and complete demolition of the Former Manufacturing Building, Shed, and Former Storage Building at the Former Medway Block property at 120 Main Street, Medway, Massachusetts. No late bids shall be accepted. No faxed or emailed bids shall be accepted. The Work consists of the removal of asbestos containing materials and other hazardous materials to prepare for complete demolition of the Former Manufacturing Building, Shed, and Former Storage Building at the Former Medway Block property at 120 Main Street, Medway, Massachusetts. Asbestos abatement must be conducted by a Massachusetts Licensed Asbestos Contractor in accordance with all applicable regulations and standards and the Specifications. A performance bond in an amount equal to 100% of the total amount of the contract price with a surety company qualified to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract, as well as a payment bond in an amount equal to 100% of the total contract price. All bids for this project are subject to applicable public bidding laws of Massachusetts, including G.L. c.30, 39M, as amended.
