This Invitation to Bid (ITB) is intended to result in a contract to provide Janitorial Services for the Fairbanks Division of Public Safety Building located at 1979 Peger Road, Fairbanks, AK 99709. Provide all labor, tools, equipment, materials, supervision and supplies needed to perform the work outlined below. The contractor must comply with all applicable Federal and State labor, wage and hour, safety and associated laws that have a bearing on the services provided. Due to the nature of the business involved in this facility, security of the building will be considered at all times. All entry doors will be checked for security whenever entering or leaving the building. The Contractor will ensure that all outside doors are kept locked at all times except when the building is normally open to the public. Interior building doors must remain locked except while work in the immediate area is in progress. The Contractor's employees are required to turn off all lights (excluding those indicated as security) and close and lock all doors and windows at the end of each work period. Failure to complete this task will be considered grounds for Service Deficiency Claim. The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 US.C 2000d to 2000d4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, colour, or national origin in consideration for an award.
