The MD of Smoky River No.130 (the MD) is seeking proposals from experienced Consultants to undertake aggregates related work. The MD requires prospecting services, pit plan updates, Conservation Operating and reclamation Plan (CORP) completion and updates and other services related to the securement and production of surfacing gravel. The successful Consultant will provide services that may include, but are not necessarily limited to: aggregate prospecting, field and laboratory testing of aggregates, air photo interpretation, summation of pit file information, pit inspection, plan updates, environmental and other regulatory applications, pit reclamation planning, stockpile quantity measurements, legal surveys, registration of dispositions and related regulatory work, preparation of aggregate related special provisions, supervision of day labour and contract forces, and other related activities. The County uses approximately 80,000 tonnes of gravel in its operations annually. This material is primarily produced roadway surfacing gravel (designation 4-class 25).
