Notice to Bidders: Qualified bidders are invited to submit bids for Project as described in this Document according to the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. See construction contract and general conditions included in the Project Manual. Submit Bid Sums on the Bid Form bound in the Project Manual. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance required for the Work. Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidders. It is the statutory policy of the State of Missouri "that a wage of no less than the prevailing hourly rate of wages for work of a similar character in the locality in which the work is performed, shall be paid to all workers employed by or on behalf of any public body engaged in public works exclusive of maintenance work," Chapter 290 RSMo 1986, 1987, and Cum. Supp. 1993. Prevailing wages have been established for St. Louis County. Bidders may be requested to submit a confidential financial statement for review by the Owner and Architect, and/or attend an interview with the Owner and Architect prior to the issuance of Notice of Contract Award. Interviews shall be attended by Bidder upon schedule notification by the Architect. Compensation for the Services and the one licensed use shall be the stipulated sum of NO CHARGE ($0.00), payable to Cordogan Clark and Associates, Inc. If Payment or Performance Bonds are to be in an amount other than 100% of the Contract Sum, indicate the dollar amount or percentage of the Contract Sum. All work shall be Substantially Completed (BOTH buildings) by August 15, 2025. The Board of Education of The School District of University City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers and to waive any technicalities therein.
