Sealed bids shall be marked Sealed Bid, City of New Iberia, Sewer System Improvements. The project is described as follows:PUMP STATION D2 UPGRADE For The CITY OF NEW IBERIA, LOUISIANA The project generally includes replacement of pumps and associated pump station work at Pump Station D2 at1117 Jean Street, New Iberia, including replacement of roof of existing building. Proposal shall be designated as Sealed Bid for the City of New Iberia, Pump Station D2 Upgrade. Any bids received after the specified time and date will not be considered. Documents containing marks, torn sheets, or unbound sheets are NOT considered to be in good condition. Bid related information also available on line and bids may also be submitted on line or contracting firms submitting bids in the amount of $50,000 or more shall certify that they are licensed contractors under the L.R.S. 37:2150-2164 and show their license number on the front of the sealed envelope in which their bid is enclosed. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause; such actions will be in accordance with Title38 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes. All contractors and subcontractors will be required to certify that they do not and will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on a basis of race, color, creed, or national origin.Minority, female-owned and Section 3 firms are encouraged to submit bids. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.Any person with disabilities requiring special accommodations must contact the Owner no later than seven (7)days prior to bid opening. BID BOND: A Bid Guarantee equivalent to 5% of the bid price consisting of a firm commitment, such as a bid bond, certified check, cashiers check, money order or other negotiable instrument, shall accompany each bid as assurance that the bidder will, upon acceptance of his bid, execute such contractual documents as may be required and within the time specified. PERFORMANCE BOND: A performance bond of not less than 100% of the contract price shall be executed to assure the Contractors faithful performance of the contract. PAYMENT BOND: A payment bond of not less than 100% of the contract price shall be executed to assure payment as required by law of all persons supplying labor and material in the performance of the work provided by the contract. The Contractor shall begin mobilization and procurement of materials within ten (10) working days of the receipt of the Notice to Proceed and will complete the work, ready for use, in the manner specified in the Contract Documents, within 365 calendar days
