Construction of a new crossover, a new turnout, and the rehabilitation of a pedestrian bridge. DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. Parkway Interlocking Crossover o This project will include the construction of a new crossover that will be added to a current functioning single crossover interlocking just west of the Forest Park MetroLink Station on the Cross County alignment near MP CC0.5. The project scope includes rail, signals, communications, and OCS construction activities. B. Richmond Heights Turnout o A new turnout from existing Track 2 with at least 300 feet of nonelectrified storage track will added near the Richmond Heights Station and is being referred to as the Richmond Heights Turnout. The new turnout will be operated with a manual hand switch with electric lock. The proposed turnout and storage track will be constructed on Metro property and adjacent to existing Ameren transmission towers. The new turnout will need to provide Ameren future access for maintenance and repair of these towers. The project will include the construction of roughly 300 feet of wall demolition and construction of a new soldier pile retaining wall between Track 2 and the new turnout rail alignment. C. Des Peres Avenue Pedestrian Bridge Rehabilitation o This project will include the rehabilitation of the existing Des Peres Avenue Pedestrian Bridge located at the intersection of Forest Park Parkway and Des Peres Avenue. This project will include the rehabilitation of the concrete walking surface and the replacement of the existing steel fencing on the bridge.
