The project is located at City of Milwaukee Safety Academy and the project is the upper roof section. The project consists 4 roof sections and work includes the removal of the ballasted EPDM/Adhered EPDM roof systems down to the structural decking. Repair and replace existing decking as needed. The contractor will install a new Adhered EPDM roof system with minor alterations, details to include new metal edge details, new expansion joint caps, and a new perimeter guardrail system. A new manufacturer warranty and installer warranty is required by the owner. The original bid security document (bond or check) must then be submitted by the contractor to the Department of Public Works Contract Office in-person or by mail to 841 N Broadway, Rm. 506, Milwaukee, WI 53202, within 24 hours upon being notified that they are the apparent low bidder. All questions should be submitted in writing prior to 12:00 PM on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025 to pbusat@milwaukee.gov. No questions may be answered after that date and time. No questions shall be answered verbally. No verbal information from any source is to be relied upon by any respondent in the development of their Bid. Written questions and responses will be documented by way of addenda, which will be forwarded to all bidders. Submit a lump sum price for the work as indicated on the drawings, specs, and here within, complete in every respect. Bids will not be accepted in any form except on the bid form included with this project manual. The contractor must recognize and abide by the right of the Owner (City of Milwaukee) to accept or reject any or all bids in the best interests of the City.
