Uwchlan Township Parks and Recreation Building Roof Replacement Project The objective of this project is to replace the shingles on the roof of the Parks and Recreation Building and, if necessary, replace the plywood. Dumpsters will be provided by Uwchlan Township. Scope of Work: 1. Remove the existing asphalt roof, including the dormer roofs on the metal roof. 2. Inspect the roof deck, remove any rotted plywood and replace with 1/2 " CDX plywood including plywood clips between the rafters where the roof deck was rotted. 3. Install CertainTeed Winter Guard ice and water shield on all eaves and in all valleys of the roof or approved equal. 4. Install C-4-1/2" metal drip edge, 0.19" thick. 5. Install CertainTeed Sure Start shingles on all edges of the roof or approved equal. 6. Install CertainTeed Landmark PRO series shingles in "Burnt Sienna" or approved equal. 7. Install new pipe collars. 8. Install CertainTeed filtered ridge vent, or approved equal, to allow proper ventilation. 9. Clean up all debris, and nails from the lawn and pavement. 10. Provide CertainTeed Sure Start warranty. Notification Requirements: o The Contractor must notify the Township that the roof will be repaired a minimum of five (5) calendar days before the start of work. The project shall be based upon the following specifications (see full bid spec for additional details) or approved equal: 1. Remove the existing asphalt roof 2.
