UConn Health (UCH) will be renovating approximately 11,500 square feet over two floors of existing commercial space at 507 East Main Street, Torrington, CT to relocate UCH's existing Torrington Medical Clinic. The renovation will create Internal Medicine and Multispecialty clinical practices consisting of Orthopedics, Women's Health, X-Ray Imaging and Perfusion (Blood Draw) clinics, entailing but not limited to patient exam rooms, x-ray room, offices, reception and check in/out areas, staff break room, clean/soiled rooms and other related support spaces. Applicants must be prequalified by the Department of Administrative Services (DAS), for the Classification of GENERAL BUILDING CONSTRUCTION (GROUP C) to participate in this Prequalification Application. Applicants having questions regarding the Pre-Qualification Documents should promptly notify UConn Health in writing. If they are received by seven (7) or more calendar days before the date set for the receipt of Applications they will be given consideration. UConn Health shallrender any interpretations or clarificationsin a form andmannerwhich it deems appropriate, given the nature and circumstances of the question involved. UConn Health will not be responsible for any interpretations or instructions other than those issued in written form. In the bidding of most deferred maintenance,majorrenovation, and newconstructionprojects, contractors are advised that they must utilize Small Business Enterprises (SBE) and Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) certified by the State of Connecticut DAS Supplier Diversity Program, to meet the goal of 30% allocation (25% of contract value, at a minimum)to SBE's, of which 10% (6.25% of the contract value, at a minimum)must be allocated to MBE's only.The General Contractorwill be responsible for ensuring that they and the SBE'sthey have selected are eligible subcontractors, and that they meet State requirements.
