Description of Project: The project Chestnut Street Water Main Replacement (Contract BR6943A20) is located in Bethesda of Montgomery County, Maryland. It is on Chestnut Street, Rosedale Avenue, Maryland Avenue, Maple Avenue, Highland Avenue, and W Virginia Avenue. Please See Project Map on the next page for details The contract consists of replacement of approximately 155 feet of 4-inch water main, 10,441 feet of 8-inch water main, 2217 feet of 12-inch water main and relocation of approximately 60 feet 8- inch of water main, 296 feet of 12-inch water main, and approximately 7,220 feet of water house connection to serve Chestnut Street and various streets in Bethesda, Montgomery County, Maryland. The Fact Sheets were mailed to impacted customers and the Honorable Andrew Friedson, Montgomery County Council District 1, on 10/31/2024. The Outreach Meeting Invitation Card will be mailed to impacted customers and the Honorable Andrew Friedson, Montgomery County Council District 1, approximately 2 months before the construction begins. Please Note: This project is a lump sum bid. Bidder shall provide a lump sum bid in the bid schedule. In addition, the Bidder shall complete the lump sum breakdown (providing the Total Price).
