Site work for a water / sewer project in Laurel, Maryland. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project involves replacing approximately 1.10 miles of 8-inch, 8-inch, 10-inch, 12-inch, and 16-inch CIP and PCCP distribution and water transmission mains. This includes 1,395 LF of WHCs in Lanham and Hyattsville, Prince George's County, Maryland. These mains were constructed between 1936 and 1987. The Project is MDE SRF Loan funded. The applicable State Insert titled Requirements and Contract Provisions for the Treatment Works Projects Financed through the Maryland Water Quality Loan Fund and the Maryland Drinking Water Revolving Loan Fund, Department of the Environment, State of Maryland, and other requirements are incorporated in the contract documents. The bidders should make note of the special additional requirements imposed through the use of this funding such as but not limited to the use of Davis-Bacon Wage Rates, the use of American Iron and Steel (AIS) products, the use of American made manufactured products and construction materials as mandated by the Build America Buy America Act (BABA), the submission of AIS and BABA material certifications to WSSC Water, and installation of the MDE/ EPA project sign. For reference, the EPA final guidance documents for AIS and BABA are incorporated into these contract documents. Supplier Inquiries Due Date: April 22, 2025 by 2:00 PM
