Renovation of a residential development in Guntersville, Alabama. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
The Guntersville Housing Authority (Owner) invites qualified bidders to submit proposals for the "Replacement of Exterior Windows with Vandal Resistant Screens, HM Exterior Doors & Steel Security Screen Doors with Vandal Resistant Screens at the Crain Courts Addition, Project 14-11", located in the City of Guntersville, Alabama. Approximately 229 exterior windows and 100 exterior doors & steel security screen doors will be replaced. Bidder(s) must be Alabama licensed general contractors and must hold a current license. Any person performing work on this project must be either a licensed contractor or subcontractor or a direct employee of same. Electronic copies of Bid Documents are stored in a "Dropbox account", including specifications and drawings. Bidders/contractor shall be responsible for making their own prints of construction documents from these electronic files. See full Invitation to Bid in Dropbox for complete description of all bid requirements. A bid bond made payable to the Guntersville Housing Authority, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid, but in no event more than $10,000, is required. Performance and Payment Bonds and evidence of insurance will be required at the signing of the Contract. The work shall commence on date indicated in the successful bidder's proposal, but work shall start no later than April 30, 2025. The Owner desires all work completed within 200 days after work commences, but completion of work shall be no later than November 17, 2025. Each bidder shall also provide their own projected completion date on the Proposal Form
