The project will provide for the construction of a four-bay fire station/public safety center to provide fire protection and emergency medical services to the growing areas of Route 13 and Route 32 between downtown Suffolk and the village of Whaleyville. This project is included in the new Capital Improvement Plan for City of Suffolk. As of March 9, 2026, information regarding design firm, construction manager, and general contractor has not been released. Funding initiative is scheduled for FY2031-2035. Further details regarding construction and completion timelines have not been disclosed. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
