Demolition, site work, paving, new construction and addition to a bridge / tunnel in Gasport, New York. Completed plans call for the addition of a bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
**As of May 13, 2025, this project has been awarded to Malvestuto Construction Inc. with the bid amount of $744,732.50.** The work consists of replacing the existing bridge, minor stream channelization and slope protection as well as restoration of pavement and turf surfaces. This is a Federal Aid Project and NYSDOT Standard Specifications, officially finalized and adopted on January 1, 2025, as posted on the New York State Department of Transportation's website must be followed by the successful bidder. The DBE goal for this project is: 5% NOTE: Bidders must submit their DBE Participation Commitments on Company Letterhead with the bid. The EEO Employment goals for this project are: 7.7 % Minority Employment Goal 6.9% Women Employment Goal The work shall be substantially completed by September 2, 2025, with final completion for all work under this contract by November 28, 2025 Questions regarding the Contract Documents should be directed to HartlandBridge@wendelcompanies.com . Bidders shall promptly notify HartlandBridge@wendelcompanies.com of any errors, omissions, conflicts, or ambiguity within the Contract Documents within 10 days of bid opening. All bids must include the completed Bid Form, Non-Collusive Bidding and Disbarment Certifications, and Lobbying Certifications. This is a unit price bid as described in the Instructions to Bidders. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within forty-five (45) calendar days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Town of Somerset reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities therein. The successful Bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of the Federal Government Equal Employment Opportunity clauses issued by the Secretary of Labor on May 2, 1968, and published in the Federal Register (41 CFR Part 60-1, 33 F.2 7804). Successful bidders will be required to pay prevailing wage rates on this contract. Should a bidder find discrepancies in or omissions from the Contract Documents, Drawings or Specifications, orshould he be in doubt asto theirmeaning, he should at once notify the Engineer and request an interpretation thereof. Every request forsuch interpretation shall be inwriting addressedto the Engineers and to be given consideration, must be received at least five days priorto the date fixed forthe opening ofthe bids. Ifthe Engineer determines that an interpretation is not required, none shall be given. Failure by the Engineerto reply to a requestshall mean that the contract documents shall be interpreted as if no request had been received. Any and all such interpretations and supplemental instructions will be in writing and will be sent to all prospective bidders who have obtained drawings and specifications at the respective addresses furnished for such purposes, not later than three days priorto the date fixed forsuch opening ofbids. Each written response shall constitute an addendum to the contract documents. At the Engineer's option, an addendum may be made by signed e-mail and shall be deemed received if e-mailed to the e-mail address provided by the Bidder. Failure of any bidderto receive any such addendum or interpretation shall not relieve the bidder from any obligation
