Bidders must sign in (on the sheet provided) upon arrival and sign out upon completion of the walk-through activities. Scope of Work 1. Contractor agrees to provide to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) removal of existing Fire Alarm System (FAS) panel, installation and maintenance of a new FAS, and monitoring services for the FAS as described herein: Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, permits, fees, travel, and incidentals necessary to remove existing FAS, and install and test a new Contractor supplied non proprietary FAS and all associated components, annual inspections, and 24-hour a day, 7 days a week monitoring. 2. The services shall be performed at Caltrans District 02 Susanville Maintenance Station (MS), located at 471-800 Diane Drive, Susanville, CA 96130 in Lassen County. 3. Any reference to Caltrans Contract Manager shall also include designee. 4. This Agreement will commence on July 1, 2025 (estimate), or upon approval by Caltrans, whichever is later, and no work shall begin before that time. This Agreement is of no effect unless approved by Caltrans. Contractor shall not receive payment for work performed prior to approval of the Agreement and before receipt of notice to proceed by Caltrans Contract Manager. This Agreement will expire on June 30, 2028 (estimate). The routine services shall be provided during normal business hours Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding State holidays. The non-routine services shall be provided on days and times specified by Caltrans Contract Manager and may take place outside the normal business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and on State holidays. The parties may amend this Agreement as permitted by law.
